Big Day of Giving

Big Day of Giving is in it’s 3rd year.

Starting on May 3rd 2016 at Midnight the Day of Giving community will once again come together with a 24 hour challenge to support local nonprofits in the Sacramento area.

So far Big Day of Giving has raised nearly $9 million for nonprofits in the region.

They have set some lofty goals for 2016. They believe they can achieve the following with the help of the local community.

  1. $6 million in online donations to be raised.
  2. 30,000 donors
  3. 570 local nonprofits

Throughout the year their capacity building program helps nonprofit organizations hone their marketing skills using social media, marketing and donor engagement. The Big Day of Giving is a joint effort between Yolo Community Foundation, Sacramento Regional Community Foundation and Placer Community Foundation.

Every year Business partners in the community have been very generous with their support to Big Day of Giving and help get the word out to the community and encourage others in strengthening the nonprofit sector.
