Day of giving has been around for many years, you just did not realize that you have been doing it ever since you were young.

Day of giving has been with us all for many years. It started when we were young. Many people don't realize it but we give many times a day in different ways.

Every time you say "Thanks" you are giving. You are expressing your gratitude for something that someone did for you. When you stop do let someone pass in front of you it's being courteous and is a way of giving. When you wave to someone you are acknowledging them. You see you don't have to give someone a tangible gift you just have to show you care. That is what day of giving is all about.

Giving does not have to be a two way process, you don't have to give to receive and you should not expect anything in return for giving. You have heard the phrase "What goes around comes around". Give enough and you will receive in ways you could never imagine.

After reading hundreds of articles about giving and how it affects people’s lives we decided to put our news website together Day of Giving, we wanted to share stories from around the world of people and organizations that have given to charities through fund raising events, food drives, car washes, walks, runs and everything else that applies to raising funds and giving things to people in need.

Over time we would like our website www.DayofGiving.com to become a household name. We would like to become a unique source of information for past and current events related to day of giving. We would like people to come to our site and read the heartwarming stories of people that helped share their time raising funds and participating in charitable events around the world.
