5th April, 2016 was a proud day in the history of Cardinals. According to the final results, a collective amount of almost $94000 was collected from 893 generous donors. This amount is meant to be utilized in making the North Central College a better place.

The inauguration of the North Central College’s Day of Giving happened to be a very successful event. In case you were unable to make a donation that day, you can still show your support for the North Central College by following this link: http://www.northcentralcollege.edu/give. You will be thanked for your generosity.

Some of the most happening moments of the event are mentioned below.

Kalah Thorngren ’07 and Tyke ’06 challenged 5 members of alumni to make their way as the new donors of the President’s Club. Every one of them donated $300 which took their total to $1500.

The happy hour challenge was also met as a result of the courtesy of more than 100 donors. 100 donations were received between 3 pm to 6 pm and $1000 were unlocked from Ray Kinney, the trustee.

Tower hour challenge was completed as a result of more than 100 donations during the tower hour. This happened when a loyal alumnus of the institute started donating $20 as a matching donation for every gift received between 12 pm to 1 pm.

Young alumni challenge was also met as a result of Rick Spencer challenging the young alumni from the classes of 2000-2015 to make donations between 9 to 11 am in the morning.

Last but not the least, the event was also successful in completing the student challenge. This happened as a result of the generous donations made by more than 100 students of the institute. For each donation, an amount of $10 was contributed as a matching donation by the Vice chairperson of the trustees board.

The 50 shades of red challenge got so close to its completion as a loyal former student of the institute donated an amount of $40 for 45 states.

Overall the event was a massive success. Most of the targets set by the administration were met and a good deal of money was collected to spend on the betterment of the North Central College. In order to inspire people into donating more, there were surprise gifts for random donors that included entries to different north central events taking place the Naperville Summer Ale, Solemn Oath Brewery, Top Golf, Chicago White Sox. Chicago Cubs and a few others.
